ACUC Rescue Diver
Introduction
ACUC Scuba Diver is the third mandatory course in the ACUC training ladder. Please see ACUC Rescue Diver
Standards.
Prerequisites for Training
You should be minimum 12 years of age.
As per local legal requirements, fill up the medical declaration form and get the same signed by the medical
professional.
Know how to swim and 5 minutes of survival floating / swimming.
Course Contents
1. Practical level of knowledge concerning the use and handling of diving equipment items
2. Basic level of knowledge regarding the influence and effects of changing pressure
3. Basic knowledge of avoiding problems resulting from: Direct effects of pressure and other hazards
4. Basic knowledge concerning the local and general conditions of the diving environment and their
possible effects on the diver and the diver's impact on the environment
Course Content Relating to Scuba Skills
1. Students shall be able to perform the confined water scuba skills. Each skill shall be mastered in
confined water before that skill is performed in open water.
2. Students shall be able to perform the open water scuba skills in conditions typical of the local
environment.
Practical Training Parameters
1. Prior to first open water dive, the students should be able to swim for 50 meters and 5 minutes survival
swim / float
2. Before participating in open water dives a student shall have demonstrated sufficient theoretical
knowledge and scuba skills in confined water to be able to perform the open water dives in the
prevailing conditions.
3. The maximum depth during training dives shall not exceed 15 meters / 50 feet
Training Dives
1. To be certified students shall complete at least two qualifying training open water dives under the direct
supervision of an ACUC instructor. The underwater duration of each of these two qualifying open water
dives shall be at least.
Training Fees
Indian Rupees 17000/-. Equipment will be provided by us with no rental. You have to bring only swimming costume,
towel. Fees covers ACUC Rescue Diver Course + Certification + ACUC sticker + Diver Passport.
For ACUC Open Water Diver + ACUC Advanced Diver + ACUC Rescue Diver, the fees will be Indian Rupees 42000/-.
